Hanuman Jayanti - Be Blessed With Happiness and Health

Hanuman Jayanti is a wonderful occasion to get rid of the miseries of Kali yuga by getting the blessings of Lord Hanuman. The following simple ritual can be used by devotees to appease Lord Hanuman and have his presence in their household.

During the morning or evening, after your bath, light a lamp in front of Lord Rama. Then place a few bananas on a plate and keep it in front of the lamp. Now chant the following mantras 3 times each:

Om Sri Ramachandraya Namosthuthe 

Om Shree Ramabhadraya Namosthuthe 

Om Shree Rama Ramaya Namah

Then peel the top half of one banana and chant the following mantra 36 times.

    Om Shree Vayuputra Ramabaktha Dushtanigraha Veera Hanumanaya Namosthuthe

Then chant 'Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare' and/or 'Shree Rama Jayam' for as many times as possible. Doing this simple ritual with your family will help to make your life happy, safe, healthy and prosperous.

There is a lot of controversy regarding the exact date of Lord Hanuman's birth. According to some regions which follow this legend : Why Is Lord Hanuman Devoted To Lord Rama, Lord Hanuman's birthday is celebrated in the full moon that comes after Lord Rama's Birthday (Rama Navami). Some of the other dates on which Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated are :

• full moon day of Chaitra month. 

• new moon day of the Markazhi month, and in 'Moola' star

• Vishak masa, krishna paksha, thasami thithi 

• Karthika month (November- December), Mesha Lagna, on Krishna Chaturdasi and in Swathiconstellation.

• vaisakha masa, krishna paksha, dasami tithi and the nakshatra is purvabhadra

I do not wish to add fuel to the fire by saying any one date is correct or wrong. The aim is to make oneself realize the infinite greatness of Lord Hanuman and invoke his blessings for a happier life.

Today we have the pleasure of getting to know Mr.Janardhan Sharma, an Indian astrologer who has a cumulative experience of 18 years.

Only Hinduism : How is Hinduism relevant in today's modern world?
Janardhan Sharma : Hinduism is most necessary today than it has been  ever before. Mankind is lost in the pursuit of materialistic pleasures and has no regard for dharma. Hinduism is the most effective way of life that can help to bring harmony and peace to oneself and everyone around, if it is followed properly.

Only Hinduism : What do you mean by 'following properly'?
J.S : I mean that nowadays there are lots of people who constantly misguide the Hindu community by inducing unwanted beliefs and rituals. People are lead to believe that Hinduism is like any other religion. The business centric attitude of fake swami and man gods has been giving Hinduism a bad name.

Only Hinduism : How do you suggest that the Hindu community can overcome this problem?
J.S : First and foremost, one should  realize what real Hinduism means. People should understand that no religion ever speaks of hurting any other fellow human. Any ritual which suggests such harm is bound to be a plot to harness money. Secondly, one should realize that nobody other than god can guarantee a quick and definite solution to all problems. God is the ultimate power, and only true devotion to God can help in changing our life for better.

Only Hinduism : What are some of the things that people should follow as part of being a Hindu?
J.S : As i said before, Hinduism is a way of life. A true Hindu should never intentionally hurt any fellow creature. A Hindu must be compassionate and helpful to his fellow beings. He/she should always be grateful to god , and realize that everything in this universe happen according to God's will.

Only Hinduism : In your opinion, is astrology an accurate science?
J.S  : According to me, astrology is more than just science, it is like a divine art. Though there are lots of tedious calculations involved in astrology, it also has a great extent of involvement from the astrologer's mind. When god's help is taken during astrological predictions, it is 99% accurate. But, if the astrologer approaches astrology only as a means of making money, then such predictions are often misleading.

Only Hinduism : What message would you like to give our fellow readers?
J.S : I would like to request all fellow Hindu brothers and sisters to stop fighting over petty differences of caste and creed. We all are children of the same Brahman and have been put on this earth to help each other and enrich mother nature.

Chant this mantra 9 times every night before you sleep. Try to face the west direction while repeating the mantra. As you chant the mantra, touch the floor with the ring finger of your right hand. With the blessings of Lord Vishnu , you will not have any nightmares.

Hanuman Mantra - For Jobs, Promotions & Examinations

In this competitive world it is really difficult to get a job. But, it is even harder to get a promotion or even maintain one's job. The Hanuman mantra given below is highly beneficial to remove any possible obstacles that lie in one's path to success.

Om shree vajradehaya ramabhakthaya vayuputhraya namosthuthe 

ॐ श्री वज्रदेहाय रामबक्थाया वायुपुथ्राया नमोस्तुते 

Chant the above mantra 11 times everyday in the morning. It is auspicious to start chanting on a Thursday. This mantra is very useful for students to pass examinations, employees to get promotions and for removing evil eye.
