Bhagawad Gita Quotes (By Non-Indians)

The Bhagawad Gita is considered by many to be a supreme scripture of Hinduism, which deals with almost every aspect of a human's life. More than a devotional script, the Bhagawad Gita is a guide for mankind to live righteously and happily on this earth. We young Indians often have the tendency to attribute greatness to anything, only if it is recognized by a foreigner, and hence i am contributing this collection of quotes by famous non-Indians.I would also like to add that it is definitely a shame that we fail to recognize the infinite greatness of our Indian scriptures unless told to do so by someone else.

Albert Einstein (controversial) : When i read the Bhagawad Gita an reflect about how God created this universe everything else seems so superfluous

Ralph Waldo Emerson : The Bhagawad Gita is an empire of thought and in its philosophical teachings Krishna has all the attributes of the full-fledged monotheistic deity and at the same time the attributes of the Upanishadic absolute.

Herman Hesse : The marvel of the Bhagawad Gita is its truly beautiful revelation of life wisdom which enables philosophy to blossom into religion

Henry David Thoreau : In the morning i bathe my intellect in the stupendous and cosmogonal philosophy of the Bhagawad Gita , in comparison with which our modern world and its literature seems puny and trivial
